And suddenly? The growing gets much more real! The first tomatoes start to ripen and another plant suddenly needs much more support. Haul out a taller stake, tie things up a bit more, prune a little bit - and (if you’re in “magical” Ann Arbor where it manages to never rain even when the next town in any direction gets soaked) water things good. Talk to the plants (yes, I think they listen). Cook up some zucchini and a little chicken for supper. And then settle in for baseball.
Sometimes summertime is perfect.
